Who likes Spin & Sculpt classes?

Men and women of all ages enjoy the guided intensity and freedom to set goals in this class. Spin & Sculpt exercises are sure to benefit your cardiovascular health, strength and muscle tone.

What is a Spin & Sculpt class?

Spin classes have been a favorite of our fitness center members since the introduction of stationary bikes that allow people to ride indoors in group classes. The bikes mimic different levels of bike riding like hill climbing, interval training and free spinning. A unique jargon was even born to encourage riders to increase or decrease their workload based on the instructor’s goals for that class. “Gear up,” “Saddle up,” and “Let’s stand” are just a few of the commands you'll hear in an indoor cycling class.

Decades after it started, spin instructors are bringing new routines to increase results for members. Spin & Sculpt class is 45 minutes of effective and efficient intervals both on and off the bikes. After the warmup, you can expect some high-intensity spin intervals on the bike like fast sprints, heavy resistance climbs and jumps to get your heart rate up and improve cardiovascular health.

Body sculpting exercises done off the bike benefit your overall strength and muscle tone. You’ll incorporate a variety of gym equipment to work your upper body, lower body and core muscles. You’ll use free weights, resistance bands, Bosu balls, stability balls and even body weight resistance.

Spin & Sculpt is led by a motivating instructor and set to high tempo music to get you in the mood for an intense workout with great results. Positive outcomes that keep riders coming back for more include:

  • Blood sugar and calorie burner
  • Full range of motion for your joints
  • Reduced stress with mood boosts after cycling
  • Increased lean tissue
  • Stronger heart, core, legs and arms

Our certified instructor develops each class to hit certain goals while you are still in control of your own workout. Although we want you to stay within your physical abilities, we encourage you to push a little more as appropriate to reach new levels of fitness. Spinning also trains your mental strength, encouraging you to push past your previous goals.

Spinners to date say that this class is a favorite way to start their mornings. Spinning and body toning are two workouts in one – a great use of time. Spin & Sculpt finishes with a five-minute cool down before you go on about your day.
