Checklist for a Healthy Happy Summer

Longer, warmer days are perfect to recharge your body and mind with sunshine, movement and fresh summer produce. Check off items in this list and take advantage of all the opportunities this season has to offer to improve health and feel your best.

Summer Healthy Lifestyle 

  • Eat fresh – Fill your plate with seasonal fruits and vegetables like berries, watermelon, cucumbers, tomatoes and zucchini. These foods are packed with nutrients and help keep you hydrated.
  • Hydration – When the temperature spikes, so does your need for both water and electrolytes. Keep a water bottle with you and aim to drink eight glasses a day. Add slices of cucumber, melon, lemon or mint to keep it refreshing.
  • Move outdoors – Take advantage of the sunshine with physical activities like hiking, swimming or even walking in the park. Aim for at least 30 minutes of moderate activity most days of the week.
  • Rest and recharge – Don’t forget to balance activity with relaxation. Take time to read, nap in the shade or practice mindfulness to reduce stress.
