As a dedicated petroleum geologist, Alan Brittain works most of his days hunched over a computer. When he started to feel stiffness and pain in his joints, he wanted to find some physical activity to strengthen supportive muscles and restore flexibility.

Brittain joined Willis Knighton Fitness Centers in 2021. He frequents multiple locations, taking advantage of locations near his home and office. He enjoys working out with peers, along with the challenge and assistance he gets from staff. For instance, when most people mastered a one-minute plank in Brittain's Pilates class, staff challenged the group to advance to a two-minute plank within three months. The group celebrated success when they accomplished their goal.

“The staff is very courteous, flexible and very willing to help you reach your fitness goals,” Brittain said. “This is a tremendous value for the monthly fee.”

Brittain also enjoys growing vegetables to sell at the Downtown Shreveport Farmer’s Market, Montana fly fishing, pickleball at Pierremont, and hiking.
