It is especially helpful to fitness center members as you embark on a plan to lose weight or build muscle mass.

The body scanner takes hundreds of 3D body measurements including circumferences, lengths, widths, contours, surface areas and volumes. It analyzes body shape and posture to give you a body composition analysis and a wellness score.

Fit 3D is noninvasive and offers a quick 360-degree scan in less than one minute. Fitness center members can create an online profile that helps you track progress through infrared scans. The first image is a baseline scan, and you’ll receive your data via email.

Body scans and measurements are confidential. You choose whether to allow your coach/trainer or doctor to see measurements only, or your body scan images as well.

WK North Health & Fitness Center is the first hospital based wellness center in Shreveport-Bossier City to offer body assessments with this technology, according to Currie Godfrey, wellness center exercise specialist. "Users can access their data and track the evolution of their body and measurement improvements," Godfrey said.

Anyone can take advantage of this technology for $40. Members receive a discounted price of $30. A package price of three scans is available for $75.
