Rhonda
Robertson has been a regular fitness center member at WK South Wellness Center
since 2020. She began a regular exercise routine after 36 years of teaching
kindergarten. Retirement gives her time to focus on her health.
It
all began one summer when Robertson joined friends to exercise in one of their
pools. Her friend Eugenie, now a water aerobics instructor at WK Fitness &
Wellness Centers, led the pool exercises. Robertson and her friends enjoyed it
so much, they became members of the wellness centers so they could exercise in
the pool year-round. Robertson said joining WK Fitness & Wellness Centers
is one of the best decisions she's ever made. Pool exercise is now a big part
of her life. She schedules other appointments and activities around water
aerobics classes she wants to attend and hates it when she must miss. She
especially likes that water aerobics is easy on the joints and improves one’s
mood.
Moreover,
Robertson loves the staff at WK South Wellness Center. Everyone is friendly and
helpful, she says. Instructors Angela and Shanda are quick to answer any
question and modify exercises as needed. Personal trainers Wendy, Marlon and
Adelyn assist in other ways.
When
she isn’t exercising, Robertson, grandmother to her first grandchild born in
November, enjoys photography and being around children. For more than 40 years,
she has volunteered in the nursery at her church.
